ECgrid

The ECgrid from ENcombi, in conjunction with an ECpvX, offers the capability to provide frequency ancillary services AFRR and mFRR as well as FRR, FCR-N and FCR-D for the nordic synchronous area and FCR for the Central Europe synchronous area.

Market bidding activities are managed through a third party Virtual Power Plant (VPP) platform and are not within the scope of the ECgrid. Instead, the ECgrid interacts online with the VPP aggregator to receive won bids. This setup allows users of the ECgrid to work with various aggregators, as it is not tied to any specific one.

The ECgrid utilizes a power meter with Modbus communication capabilty to measure grid frequency. Based on these frequency readings, it will conduct the ancillary services and pass forward the associated power commands to the ECpvX controller.

The ECpvX serves as the primary device managing power flow to and from the battery. Through Modbus communication, it regulates both the active and reactive power.

Equipped with diverse control funcionalities including zero-export and spot-price arbitrage, the ECpvX receives control references from the ECgrid and adjusts battery operations accordingly. Addtionally, the ECpvX executes essential control functions such as LFSM-O/LSFM-U to adhere to various grid interconnection standards.
